TEACHER TRAINING
LEVEL 3 ASSESSING VOCATIONAL ACHIEVEMENT
The Level 3 Certificate in Assessing Vocational Achievement is a substantial vocational qualification that will prepare you for a career as a vocational assessor. This qualification is designed for learners aged 19 years or older and will support you to gain employment as a vocational assessor, as the units contained in this qualification cover all the skills and knowledge required for this role. This is a practical-based qualification intended for those who assess both occupational competence in the work environment, and vocational skills, knowledge and understanding in environments other than the workplace (i.e. workshop, classroom or other training environments). Entry onto this qualification will require you to have full competence in the vocational subject area that you will be assessing and you will need access to a cohort of learners, so that you can gather evidence of real assessments.
This qualification includes units covering the principles and practices of assessment, assessing learners' occupational competence in the work place and assessing vocational skills, and knowledge and understanding of education and training.

You will need to be 19+, have a Level 2 in Math’s and English or be working towards them.

Once you have completed this course, you can progress onto the Level 4 Certificate in Education and Training and the Level 5 Diploma in Education and Training or go straight into employment
LEVEL 3 EDUCATION AND TRAINING
Formerly known as PTLLS, the Award in Education and Training is a short course designed to enable a wide range of students to undertake teaching, training or learning tasks relevant to their own training or teaching situation. It is recommended for all teachers new to the sector whether in further education, adult and community learning, work-based learning or other parts of the learning and skills sector.
You will study a range of units covering aspects of Teaching including:

Understanding roles, responsibilities & relationships in education and training.

Understanding and using inclusive teaching and learning approaches in education and training

Assessment methods
All classes are taught remotely via Zoom and include a range of teaching and learning activities.
